Blush, Black Lace, and Pearl Wedding at Rizzo’s in Crabtree, PA
Lauren knew what she wanted when it came to her wedding cake. It was clear to me from our initial emails that she gave much consideration to her wedding theme, decor, and overall “look.”
She had planned a blush pink, black lace, and pearl inspired wedding to her fiance, Rob. These themes were carried throughout all of the little details of their event, even the cake.
Lauren and Rob chose vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream for their semi-naked cutting cake. From the moment that Lauren told me her idea of the semi-naked cake with black lace, I envisioned edible black lace wrapped around the cake on the diagonal with fresh flowers to coordinate back to the other decor. I love how it turned out!
For their guests, Rob and Lauren chose vanilla cupcakes, half with vanilla buttercream and half with strawberry buttercream. All of the cupcakes were adorned with blush pink and white edible sugar pearls and clear coarse sanding sugar for some added sparkle. Lauren stepped the cupcakes up a notch by requesting these black lace paper cupcake wrappers. They were definitely a way to add a touch of “something special.”
After I finished setting up the cake and cupcakes for Lauren and Rob’s guests, I took a good look around the venue and admired all of the details, from the painted champagne flutes for the bridal party to the escort cards. Everything was beautiful and it all tied together perfectly–not overdone, at all. Just perfect.
Congratulations, once more, to the newly married Mr. and Mrs. Boone!
